UPCOMING: United By Blue presents The Bluemovement Road Trip

Join United by Blue and Massey's Outfitters on June 18th for their first ever joint waterway cleanup in New Orleans, LA! This cleanup is one of 20 that United by Blue is co-hosting nationwide this summer, from June-August, to establish community partnerships between their specialty retailers, conservation or municipal partners, and volunteers.

We will clean the shoreline of Lake Pontchartrain, a naturally formed marshland lake that flows into the Gulf of Mexico. Used for industrial and recreational purposes, the wetlands can trap litter that flows through the lake. Removing the trash from the shoreline not only protects this vital and vibrant ecosystem, but it also prevents it from flowing into the Gulf and the ocean. Join us for cleaning, games, and an evening enjoying the lake and its wildlife!

Time: 5pm to 7pm

Following our cleanup effort at Breakwater Park, join us at Second Line Brewing in Mid-City for a celebratory brew!  Volunteers who aided in the cleanup will receive 20% off at the bar courtesy of Second Line!
